Surgeon-Scientist

His research interests include studying the biomechanics of shoulder replacements, methods to improve repair of rotator cuff injuries, and novel surgical techniques for shoulder instability.

Approach to Care

In an era of information overload, Dr. Brusalis is committed to educating patients on the underlying causes of their symptoms and how best to treat them while using language and images that resonate with patients, rather than other physicians. The majority of patients are treated and improve without surgery, and Dr. Brusalis’ sole focus is to get patients feeling and moving better. In our practice, all patients are given time to understand their diagnosis, ask questions, and make medical decisions in a relaxed, friendly, and patient-centric atmosphere.

Family Life

Dr. Brusalis enjoys spending time with his high-school sweetheart, fellow Long Island native and wife, Kelly. Together, they are the proud parents of two beautiful and energetic daughters, Ruby (3) and Shea (1).
